It has been an extraordinary past 12 months.  Our team at Rotary SAFE Families is delighted to convey their achievements at this time of the 2025 end of year.

    • Child Abuse
    • Elder Abuse

Our thanks and appreciation go to our Patrons for their support and wisdom. Thank you Gordon McInally, Pat Merryweather-Arges and Grace Van Zyll.

We would like to thank the many Clubs and organisations, Victoria Police and places of worship (Gurdwara Blackburn - Sikh Temple) who lead the way in promoting Rotary SAFE Families prevention resources via their:

  • Conferences
  • Bunnings BBQ's
  • Meetings
  • Public Events
  • Websites
  • Bulletins

Rotary Club of Kippa-Ring North Lakes and Rotary Chadstone/East Malvern - just a couple of the many Clubs promoting prevention of family violence publicly.

 Our Promo for 2025

Thank you to all the fantastic organisations that have "joined" us as we continue to promote the importance in our world of stopping the traumatic and senseless family violence. The impact of abuse and violence on our children and grandchildren must be stopped. If we are going to leave a legacy in this world, it must be a legacy from us that we have fought to make our world "safe" from violence and that we have tried our very best for the sake of our children and grandchildren.

This year, via the innovative Ginny Giorgio, Rotary Kingscliff and a family law court lawyer, we have been given the outstanding Towards Respectful Relationships program.  This program has been running in northern NSW secondary schools for 4 years and Rotary SAFE Families is rolling it out in Victoria early next year.

Please download Towards Respectful Relationships' information here: TRR_General_Information.pdf

Contact Dorothy Gilmour, Chair Rotary SAFE Families for more detailed information via our website: http://www.rotarysafefamilies.org.au/

  • Min Bell, Rotary Hawthorn
  • Ian Bentley, Rotary Hawthorn
  • Vincent Chen, Rotary Hawthorn
