African Youth Initiative opening of new offices

The Rotary SAFE Families Inclusive Communities Initiative is supporting the African Youth Initiative (AYI) which is a not-for-profit organisation formed in response to the disengagement of African Youth within their communities and the personal experiences as African youth growing up in the western suburbs of Melbourne. Through role-modelling and a range of programs that aims to reconnect African youth to their communities and empower them to be positive contributors to society.

Workshop for Himilo Connect Community

Dorothy Gilmour felt privileged to meet and work with 35 beautiful Somali women from the Himilo Connect Community recently. She presented a workshop to them around prevention of Family Abuse, Coercive Control and Child Abuse.
